Batch 3, and upcoming fun

We can’t quite believe it but we have now completely sold out of Batch 1 and 2 of Field Blends?! Batch 2 arrived without much fanfare, as we desperately scrambled to blend more spices and fill more tins. Thank you so much to every single one of you who ordered a tin, a bundle, or a t-shirt in our first month. And a massive thank you to an incredible bunch of small indie shops who got in touch to stock us on their shelves.

We are now deep into getting Batch 3 into the wild. The tins have arrived, tweaks have been made to labelling (yes, you can now actually see what’s in the tin from the side…), and new suppliers have been brought onboard.

We’re blending on the 9th May, and pre-orders are now open for shipping that week. All pre-orders over £25 will qualify for free shipping, just use the code ‘FREESHIPPING’ at checkout. This free shipping offer runs out on 10th may so make sure you order before then if you want to take advantage of it.

NEW SALT

We’re stoked to now be working with Richard and team at Yorkshire Sea Salt. Our blends were using a great quality Cornish salt for batch 1 & 2, but working with Yorkshire Sea Salt is an exciting step in making Field Blends as wild, special and sustainable as possible. You can read more about their methods and approach here. Honestly, this is the best salt we have EVER tasted!

NEW DESCRIPTIONS

SPG. Salt pepper garlic. I mean, it is what it is and the whole point of it is to create the best version of a simple seasoning that’s as convenient as possible to camp and cook with. But after a month of cooking and recipe testing with it we just think the name SPG undersells it. The real star of the show here is the peppercorns. Pink peppercorns bring a bit of heat and fruitiness, green peppercorns bring vibrancy and aromatics, and black peppercorns add a punch. Top quality sea salt, and dried garlic granules bring out the inherent flavours of whatever you’re cooking, and add that nice garlicky hum that has it’s place in pretty much every dish ever. So, do we call its PSG? PPGPBPSG? Nah… we’ll stick with the name SPG for now but we’ve updated the product description to hopefully better illustrate how much of a peppercorn party you’re in for!

We’ve been posting loads of dishes that we’re cooking up at home on the blog. They’re all great examples of where Field Blends can fit into simple cooking both at home, and on the campsite. Go check them out and make sure you tag us on insta if you cook anything!

WHAT’S NEXT?

More blends! Blends of spices, blends of herbs, and blends of people and ideas… We’re working on our first collaboration at the moment and I am seriously so excited to share more with you but I have to keep it quiet for now. This picture is probably a huge giveaway but hopefully it whets your appetite….
